In the heart of the Roland Park neighborhood of Baltimore City, this club has been a cherished institution for 120 years, steeped in history and tradition. Established in 1896 by twenty-eight visionary women whose objective was to provide a center for cultural and intellectual pursuits, the club maintains those founding principles and so much more. Women of diverse interests and talents gather weekly to foster friendships, establish and support community outreach projects, promote the arts, and enjoy the renowned speaker series. Here is a list of past speakers and topics: Programs Archive 2010-2017
Nearly every Thursday from October to May, we present speakers who are experts in the fields of art, drama, education & health, gardening, international affairs, legislation & civics, lifestyle topics, literature, metropolitan affairs, and music. Our weekly programs have been described as “a college education without the exams.” A catered lunch is available each week following the morning program. Additionally, we have evening programs that are open to the community. The Activities Committee offers bridge and bridge lessons, classes, book clubs, community projects, evening socials and trips.
