Executive Director Eliza Cornejo and program alumna Sara Citroni introduce us to Goucher College’s remarkable partnership that offers education to people currently incarcerated in Maryland State penitentiaries. This noteworthy program dramatically improves the lives of people struggling to reenter society as employable, productive citizens. GPEP students are held to Goucher’s high academic standards and are provided extra tutoring and support as needed. Through GPEP, about 130 students per year earn college credits and potentially a full bachelor’s degree from Goucher.
