Dawn Bader, Cynthia Mann & Sally Riley: Historical Society of Baltimore County
January 14, 2027: 1:15 pm - 2:15 pm
Take a trip through three and a half centuries of Baltimore County’s diverse and rich history. From the county’s industrial steel mills of the east, to its western regions, where wealthy businessmen built Victorian summer homes, to its millworks and farms, Baltimore County is truly “an America in miniature.” The Historical Society of Baltimore County, which sits in the county’s historic 1872 Almshouse, has preserved more than 11,000 artifacts, 10,000 historic photographs and 4,000 books. Our panel of three volunteers from the museum share some interesting stories.
