Ben and Myrna Cardin: Deep Listening, Civil Discourse and Civic Engagement in Our Democracy at America’s 250th

Former U.S. Senator Ben Cardin and his wife, Myrna Cardin, launched the Cardin Center for Civic Engagement and Civil Discourse at Towson University, the alma mater of Myrna Cardin. The Center seeks to bring together students, faculty and community in an effort to strengthen our democracy. The goal is to prepare students to listen deeply, engage respectfully, and lead responsibly. Senator and Mrs. Cardin will speak about the Cardin Center. Tameka Porter, interim executive director of the Center, will moderate. Several Towson University students will join the conversation during lunch.
