John Racanelli: National Aquarium Waterfront Project

National Aquarium president & CEO, John Racanelli, will describe the aquarium’s exciting Waterfront Park Project. Currently a floating wetland successfully promotes healthy water, attracts native species, increases biodiversity and teaches visitors about wetland ecosystems. The aquarium is scaling up its floating wetlands to fill the area between Piers 3 and 4. It has partnered with Baltimore-based architecture firm Ayers Saint Gross to create a rendering of a brand-new, immersive, educational National Aquarium experience that’s set to open in 2024.
