Baltimore’s Harborplace was a bold idea 44 years ago. Now MCB Real Estate is proposing a new, bold idea to revitalize downtown. The plan requires ending the height, mass and use restrictions placed on the area in order to allow for four, tall, mixed-use buildings including a conjoined tower with 900 apartments, one smaller structure
Principal at Terra Nova Ventures, David Tufaro, has given the subject of Harborplace a lot of thought. He believes Harborplace should be preserved as a public park. MCB’s plans, with its 350-foot-high apartment towers, will destroy the park and will not reinvigorate the Inner Harbor
